\n\n Patronatusfamiliae Salatinae,anno domini 1528\n \n <\/h1>[vc_column_text]A stone dated 1528 testifies the in loco presence of the Salatin family. The winemaking business was started in 1947 by brothers Cav. Antonio and Ercole, in the places also loved by the Doges of the Republic of Venice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Driven by a passion for vine-growing, their sons and grandchildren now run the winery that stretches over 75 hectares, most of which are planted with vines in the Prosecco hills, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and the Grave del Friuli and Doc Venezia areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to its ability to combine the values of ancient tradition with modern technology, the winery is deservedly part of this heritage. Our new organic wine \u2013 Unico Verdiso Brut Nature<\/h4>\r\n
\r\n This wine was produced with the 2020 harvest. Verdiso is an autochthonous vine variety of the Treviso foothills. Its existence is ascertained by a document dated 1788 by which the Abbey of Follina imposed its cultivation to the settlers. The sparkling process starts directly from the must in a single fermentation, in order to maintain the fragrance and primary aromas typical of the first fermentation.\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n The grape harvest is a very important moment for our winery and completes the work we have done in the vineyards throughout the whole year. It is the phase in which grapes are harvested before starting the transformation process and the making of wine.\r\nIt is not just harvesting for us, it is the selection - strictly by hand - of the best grape clusters that can ensure a high-quality level of wine.\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n

The biological cycle of the grape cluster<\/h4>\r\n
\r\n The reproductive cycle of the vine fruit takes place from February to September. During these months environmental conditions (climate, weather, humidity, soil, irrigation) influence the formation of the grape.\r\nFor this reason, experience, knowledge and study must always be brought into play to improve the organoleptic qualities of the grapes when nature has been less than generous, for example during a season with too much or too little rain.\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n
